Bee Informed! Save the Bees NC @ Garner Women’s Club
August 2 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

The Garner Woman’s Club Environmental Committee invites the community to “Bee Informed! Save the Bees” — a buzzing new initiative raising awareness about the vital role of pollinators and supporting critical bee research in North Carolina.
The event will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the Garner Woman’s Clubhouse and aims to inspire attendees to take action in their own backyards — by starting pollinator gardens or becoming home-based beekeepers. Proceeds from the $5 donation/admission will be donated to Save the Bees NC a 501(c)(3) fund for research and environmental restoration.
“We’re excited to bring the community together to learn, act, and support a cause that directly impacts our food systems and ecosystem health,” says Myrna Litt, Chair of the Environmental Committee. “Bees may be small, but their importance is mighty.”
The event will include:
- Guest Speakers on pollination, conservation, and home beekeeping
- Raffle Prizes and giveaways
- Community Resource Tables
- ITEMS FOR purchase – Honey and more
- Tips for starting your own pollinator garden
- Education on how YOU can make a difference
- A chance to network with fellow eco-conscious residents
With a goal of drawing at least 30 participants, the Garner Woman’s Club hopes this event not only supports research but plants the seeds for lasting change — one bee-friendly garden at a time.
